Woman cricketer Siuli Bepari is dead

Orissa woman cricketer Siuli Bepari died under mysterious circumstances at SCB Medical in Cuttack yesterday. A promising middle-order batter, Siuli had been representing the state under-19 and senior teams for the past three years. According to Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Asirbad Behera, Bepari attended the State selection camp at Cuttack from September 10 to 27 before returning to her native place in Balasore. She was supposed to join the coaching camp at Cuttack from October 5. The cause of the death is yet to be known. But according to unconfirmed reports, Bepari was suffering from fever and was admitted at the TB ward for treatment. While expressing his shock and agony, the OCA secretary disclosed that Bepari was often seen caughing by fellow players during the selection camp.
